As a Senior Project Engineer, you are responsible for the planning and delivery of projects that fall into the most complex and time-consuming higher tier categories, where you have been assigned as Project Lead. Using your extensive experience and wisdom, you will be a role model for more junior engineers, and a champion for best practice of our client’s processes.

You will be an integral member of the most senior engineering personnel, delivering service excellence and growth to all around you. The Project Team are committed to delivering high quality, consistent projects and demonstrate core values in everything they do.

Key Responsibilities will include:

  • Provide high-level customer care and build relationships with customers
  • Deliver higher tier projects as one of the most senior technical resources
  • Work towards individual and team billable time targets
  • Take the lead for assigned projects and be accountable for delivery
  • Communicate with colleagues and customers to design project plans based on an agreed proposal, and deliver to the scope of works
  • Create schedules of works for assigned projects, assigning own and resources time in project planning tools
  • Produce handover document at the agreed project end date, deliver and discuss with service delivery team
  • Update document management platform with new information as it is created or discovered
  • Work to templates and tasks to ensure consistency and quality of project delivery
  • Validate solutions proposals created by Solutions Team
  • Work together with customers, Solutions Team to build non-standard solution proposals
  • Assist with lower-tier project delivery when required, and act as a mentor and example of best practice within the team
  • Drive company knowledge and understanding of emerging technologies, work with partners and vendors to research new products where gaps in technology exist

Essential Experience & Skills:

  • 5+ years IT and customer service experience
  • Full UK driving license
  • Expert Windows server troubleshooting experience
  • Expert Microsoft 365 and Azure administration experience, including PowerShell skills
  • Expert networking diagnosis, including; ADSL, ISDN, VOIP, SIP, VLAN, Routing, NAT, CIDR, 802.11ac, PoE
  • Advanced UTM management experience
  • Advanced Mac/Linux troubleshooting experience
  • Advanced Virtualisation platforms experience; VMware, Hyper-V
  • Advanced Microsoft Exchange on-premise experience
  • Expert Server hardware troubleshooting experience; Dell, HP
  • Advanced Backup and DR experience
