The Compliance Manager will implement the Technical Standards, Specifications, Systems and Processes for the company’s products, in line with group policy, and ensure they meet or exceed customer’s requirements and ensure full compliance as per the site vision.

The primary role of the Compliance Manager will be to: manage the provision of accurate and comprehensive information for both internal and external customers in a timely manner. Establishing strong relationships with other internal departments, customers, suppliers and service providers.

Also striving for continuous improvement in all areas of operation and is responsible for ensuring compliance with relevant legislative, customer, product and company standards.

This role is instrumental to delivering great value, safe, innovative and quality assured products.

Key accountabilities within the role:

  • To ensure there is a fully documented, trained and audited Quality Management System

  • Responsible for creating risk based Quality Systems Audit schedule

  • A key player in ensuring that the manufacturing sites are always audit ready

  • Managing accreditation with external bodies

  • To support the site team during external audits

  • Ensure all out of specification results are followed up and investigated.

  • Control, monitoring and reporting of, expenditure against critical path

Key knowledge and experience we are looking for in the role of Compliance Manager:

  • Experience and competency in a production environment

  • Computer literate including basic use of company’s business software packages

  • Understanding of practical application of Production, Technical, HR and Safety processes and procedures

  • Planning and organising skills

  • Interpersonal skills including the ability to evaluate and respond appropriately

  • Communication skills, verbal and written including presentation skills and report writing

  • Knowledge of continuous improvement techniques

  • Intermediate food hygiene certificate

  • HACCP level 3 certificate
