An opportunity is currently available for an experienced sales professional to join a trade supplier in a field based sales role in Southampton. The majority of the working week will be spent on the road engaging with new and existing clients across the region, but remaining connected with the in-branch team based in Southampton will be key.
Inheriting an existing portfolio of established customers, the role will require a combination of cross selling and upselling to existing accounts as well as generating new business through the proactive conversion of sales leads and cold calling. The client base will be within the building industry and so good knowledge of the sector, as well as ability to work autonomously and to engage with key decision makers on individual to large scale sites will be key.
With existing business to inherit and a fantastic opportunity to really grow and develop in-role, this is a great role for the right person. To be considered for this opportunity you must have a pro-active approach and real drive and enthusiasm for sales. Some experience in sales will be required, along with knowledge or relatable experience of the building industry. A full driving licence will also be essential.
This is a Full time position, 40 hours per week Monday – Friday; 08:00 – 17:00
