We are currently recruiting for an Accounts Assistant/Bookkeeper to take on a varied role within a successful commercial firm based in the heart of Salisbury, Wilts.
The main objective of this role will be to: Be responsible for the accounts function for the whole company up to year end.
Some key duties include:
- Reconciliation of bank accounts and credit card statements
- Monthly payroll
- Quarterly VAT returns
- Sales and purchase ledgers
- Credit control
- Taking payments and keeping on top of the six bank accounts
- Budgeting, forecasting and financial reporting
Our client uses QuickBooks so if you have experience with this software then that is an advantage, but not essential as long as you are familiar with one Accounts package.
You must also be an advanced Excel user, and know your way around spreadsheets, and setting spreadsheets up. You will be part of a team of five and although there are some exciting plans to grow the business over the course of the next few years, it is important you enjoy working as part of a small team. As with any small office, dynamics are vital.
This is a full time role, hours are 9am – 5pm M-F.
