​We have a part time Finance Manager vacancy to join a Charity organisation in the local area. Our client's mission is to work with local communities to build effective schools, academies, places of worship which are at the heart of the community. Working at a purpose built impressive office based locally the role of the Finance Manager is to assist in managing the financial position of the organisation and be responsible for all finance office activities and effective services.

The ideal candidate will have the following skills and experiences:

  • Demonstrate competent MS Office skills

  • Experience of using finance systems (Sage)

  • Managing and setting budgets

  • Working knowledge of submitting VAT and other tax returns

  • Communicate complex financial information

  • Ability to strategically think, plan effectively manage own time and work autonomously at times

  • Team player ethos

The role will cover an array of areas and their will be full training provided in post. Some of the key aspects of the role you will undertake include:

  • Assist in the preparation of statutory accounts for external parties

  • Work in collaboration with auditors and provide the required information in order to ensure smooth conduct of the year end audit

  • Provide monthly instructions to the payroll provider for processing

  • Monitor income and expenditure in relation to budgets

  • Ensure all invoices are processed

  • Manage the completion of all VAT returns

  • Line manage a Financial Assistant

  • Other ad hoc duties
