We have an opportunity for an experienced Buyer to join a collaborative and commercially focused retail team on a 12-month fixed-term contract.

The opportunity
As a Buyer, you will play a pivotal role in managing and developing supplier partnerships, ensuring product availability, competitive pricing, and strong commercial outcomes across your categories.
You’ll have real influence owning negotiations, shaping product ranges, and driving performance through data-led decision making. This role offers exposure across multiple business functions and the opportunity to contribute to strategic growth initiatives.
Key responsibilities
Own and manage end-to-end supplier relationships
Negotiate annual trading terms and commercial agreements
Develop and review product ranges in line with market trends
Drive pricing strategy across central and direct supply channels
Lead forecasting and stock planning, ensuring optimal availability and stock turn
Monitor market pricing and competitor activity to maintain competitiveness
Deliver promotional plans and supplier-funded campaigns
Analyse performance data and present insights to senior stakeholders
Manage and develop a Buying Assistant
Collaborate cross-functionally with internal teams and external partners
About you
We’re looking for a commercially minded Buyer with strong analytical and negotiation skills who thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
Proven experience in a Buying or Product role
Experience managing supplier relationships and negotiating terms
Strong commercial awareness with the ability to drive margin and performance
Experience in forecasting, planning, and promotional activity
Advanced Excel skills
Strong communication and presentation skills
Ability to analyse data and translate it into clear commercial actions
Experience managing or mentoring others (desirable)
