​We are looking for a Commercial Manager to join a thriving manufacturing firm. Using excellent customer relationship skills you will nurture key accounts and project manage as well as commercially position the company in the best way. This will include working with customers on joint ventures such as innovation in the pipeline and launch programs. This role plays a strategic part in the development and growth of the company, working on both own label and branded products.

Key responsibilities within the role will include:

  • To meet and exceed targets set within the Business Plan by growing each account with new products

  • To actively work with the New Product Development Team

  • Working with designated accounts to ensure the business optimises position, exceeds profit budgets and manages all aspects of the commercial relationship.

  • Maintain daily and weekly communication between buyers

  • Monitor and communicate sales, waste, performing and non-performing product analysis for relevant accounts.

  • Responsible for the overall control of the critical control path on product launches to hit agreed launch dates.

  • Monitor and communicate product SKU’s/trends and price comparisons vs. competitors.

  • Ensure relevant colleagues are aware of all key aspects of customers

  • Gain a clear understanding of customers businesses and requirements, further exploring new lucrative business/customer potential

  • To promote the company values through daily communication, weekly meetings and day to day work activities.

Skills and essential experience required:

  • Strong Commercial/Sales background within FMCG manufacturing

  • Proven track record managing valuable major retail accounts.

  • Excellent Sales and Negotiation skills

  • Excellent communicator and exceptional presentation skills

  • Excellent Analytical skills

  • Developed Project Management skills
