​Are you an experienced Engineering Manager looking to take ownership of operations, drive efficiency, and lead high-performing teams? This is an exciting opportunity to join a well-established and growing organisation where you can make a real impact.

We are working exclusively with our client to recruit a dynamic Engineering Manager who thrives in a fast-paced environment and has a strong background in logistics, warehouse operations, and supply chain optimisation.

Summary of the role

As Engineering Manager, you will play a key role in overseeing engineering and operational performance, ensuring processes run efficiently, safely, and cost-effectively. You’ll be responsible for leading teams, improving systems, and maintaining strong supplier relationships to support seamless operations.

Key responsibilities

  • Lead and develop engineering and operational teams to achieve performance targets

  • Drive continuous improvement across logistics, warehouse, and supply chain processes

  • Manage supplier relationships and negotiate effectively to deliver value

  • Oversee materials management to ensure efficiency and availability

  • Implement and optimise systems

  • Ensure compliance with health & safety and operational standards

  • Support strategic initiatives to improve productivity and reduce costs

About you

  • Proven experience in an Engineering Manager or similar leadership role

  • Strong background in logistics, warehouse, or supply chain operations

  • Skilled in vendor negotiation and supplier management

  • Experience using ERP systems (IFS preferred)

  • A confident, personable leader who motivates and develops teams

  • Results-driven with a proactive, hands-on approach

  • Able to work both independently and collaboratively

Package & benefits

  • Salary: £45,000 – £50,000 (depending on experience)

  • Working Hours: Monday – Thursday: 8:00am – 4:45pm | Friday 08:00am - 3:;45pm (39hrs a week)

  • Holidays: 25 days + bank holidays
