We have an exciting new role for a Finance candidate to join a successful family run firm, in which you will head up their small accounting team. You will be overseeing the finance department which currently has four people in the team and will be responsible for providing timely management information to the senior management team.
The role is office based at an idyllic countryside location, situated near Tisbury, Wiltshire. Therefore you would need to drive to access the location but it's certainly worth it.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
Preparation & presentation of monthly management accounts
Preparation of Profit & Loss and Balance Sheet
VAT returns
Bank & company credit card reconciliations
Fixed asset management
Managing & mitigating foreign currency exposure
Gross profit reporting
Accruals & prepayments
Creation & update of budget and cash flow forecasts
Ad hoc duties include: Upkeep of systems and procedures, handling some import/export, insurance renewals, stock takes
Key Experience, Skills and Knowledge we are looking for:
AAT qualified or part qualified with ACCA/CIMA/ACA or qualified by experience
Experience of managing or leading a small team would be advantageous
Must be able to manage own workload, work to deadlines and prioritise where applicable.
Excel skills - At least intermediate, confident using them
Sage experience is handy but not essential as full training is provided
