An excellent new IT opportunity is now available working for a locally based Charity in Salisbury.

In your role as the IT Support Officer, you will be responsible for the IT network and software operations, ensuring that the organisation and it's users fully utilise the benefits of it. The role has particular administrator responsibilities for Microsoft SharePoint and bespoke contact management databases and CMS. The IT Support Officer acts as the IT point of contact for staff, suppliers promoting effective governance, IT training and development.

Some skills and experiences we are looking for include:

  • Demonstrate you can work as part of a dynamic IT organisation to implement or enhance IT infrastructure and application software

  • Excellent IT skills at a level commensurate with being able to train others and expert user of Microsoft Office package

  • Able to understand and work with the technical and operations aspects of IT systems and software (including IT governance and policy writing, designing solutions, creating development specifications and working with external contractors to deliver these

  • Excellent communication skills - capable of relating well to a wide range of people

  • Educated to degree level/professional qualification or equivalent experience related to the role

  • Strong organisational ability

  • Be analytical and a problem solver

  • Functions as an active and effective participant of a team

The role is designed so that you work closely with the IT Programme coordinator team as well as IT support, the role can be split working in the office as well as at home
