The role of IT Support Technician is to provide professional IT support for all members of staff across the one site business. Working within an IT department to ensure the IT infrastructure meets the requirements of the company's vision.
Our client are looking for someone with previous IT support experience in a Windows environment that can provide email, phone and person to person support. The role will be split between working independently and working as a small team and therefore you must demonstrate excellent communication skills and the ability to self-learn to increase your skillset. This role would ideally suit someone who has the experience of working in an IT department.
Main duties of the role include:
Provide 1st line and 2nd line support for all staff via phone, email
Manage, monitor, resolve software, hardware related issues
Build and issue PCs and laptops to the new staff
Manage the entire workstation environment
Keep the business server, desktop and laptop environment up to date and secure
Install and configure new client hardware
Maintain and update the intranet site
Provide support for various systems used, such as telephone, printers, photocopiers
Skills and experiences we are looking for:
Previous Windows 10 support experience
At least 1 year's experience within an IT environment or demonstrate your suitability through an interest or hobby of IT
Be able to self-learn to increase own skill set
Open to new tasks and challenges
Good communication skills
Have a positive work ethic
Time management
