A new opportunity, is now available for a Management Accountant to become a key member of a Finance Team working for a powerful brand at their head office based in Andover.

The primary purpose of this role is to maintain the accounting function of the company and support the Head of Finance and Finance Manager.

You will be responsible for preparing management accounts and quarterly budget reviews, compliance reporting., statutory/audit requests and control of aged debtors/creditors.

We are looking for someone with a minimum of 3 years’ experience within a finance department and who has at least 2 years’ experience in a similar level of role. The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate a full understanding of reconciliation work, and management accounts and budgets preparation. You should have an inquiring mind, and a willingness to work closely with both senior managers within the organisation and other members of the Finance team.

Experience we are looking for includes:

  • Working within a Finance department.

  • Preparation of management accounts.

  • Preparation of budgets.

  • Involvement in annual audits.

  • Reading/manipulating of detailed financial analysis in excel.

Essential Skills we consider appropriate:

  • A methodical approach to daily tasks and the ability to prioritise workloads.

  • Strong problem-solving skills.

  • Excellent attention to detail with high level of accuracy.

  • A sound level of understanding and use of Microsoft Office (intermediate excel skills level);

  • Sound English with excellent grammar and spelling.

  • A professional approach in dealing with internal/external customers, suppliers and manufacturers.

  • Excellent communications skills, polite and patient but strong when necessary.

  • Ability to remain confident.

  • Personal integrity.

  • Track record as a team player.

It is important to add that we do need someone who is at least part qualified with their ACCA/CIMA (or equivalent) OR fully AAT qualified.
