Senior Client Operations Specialist | Bournemouth | £35k – £40k | Hybrid, 3 days on site
If you've built your career in financial services operations and you're ready for a senior role where you own your work and are trusted to get it right, this is an opportunity worth exploring.
ReQuire Consultancy are working with a highly regarded, award-winning wealth management firm to recruit a Senior Client Operations Specialist to join their Bournemouth team.
This is a senior, hands-on role within one of the most important and fastest-growing teams in the business. As the firm continues to grow, including through acquisitions across a rapidly consolidating wealth sector, this team makes sure clients move smoothly onto the firm's in-house platform. It's visible, valued work that sits right at the heart of the firm's growth plans.
But what really makes this opportunity stand out is the culture you'll be joining.
This is a people-first business that has been recognised as one of the best places to work in its sector. They work hard, but they have a lot of fun along the way, and they genuinely want everyone who works there to be proud of what they do.
Seniority Without Line Management:
This is a senior individual contributor role, so you'll own your own caseload and be the go-to person for technical expertise within the team.
You'll support and guide less experienced colleagues as they learn, without the day-to-day pressure of managing people.
You'll have a real say in how processes develop, and the chance to deputise for the Implementations Supervisor when needed.
For someone who wants more responsibility and influence while staying close to the work they enjoy, that's a significant part of the appeal.
The Role
You'll be joining a dynamic, growing team, working closely with advisers, internal colleagues and external providers to deliver the best possible outcome for every client.
Your responsibilities will include:
Owning a caseload of clients transferring onto the firm's platform, from start to finish
Leading update calls and meetings with advisers on your cases
Making sure client income payments and contributions continue without interruption
Supporting the Transfers team with the management of client transfers
Liaising with internal teams and external providers to keep things running smoothly
Managing inboxes and resolving queries, including more complex or escalated cases
Using and helping to maintain CRM systems to improve team efficiency
Acting as the first point of contact for questions from less experienced colleagues
Identifying process improvements and helping put them into practice
Getting involved in wider projects with operations teams across the business
About You:
We're looking for an experienced financial services operations professional with 3+ years in a role such as transfers, re-registrations, onboarding, pensions or platform administration, new business or client services. Experience of platform migrations would be a real advantage, but isn't essential.
You'll also bring:
Experience managing your own caseload and handling complex cases independently
Sound judgement, including knowing when to escalate
Good Excel skills to organise work and summarise information for colleagues
Excellent communication skills and the ability to build strong relationships
Curiosity and a genuine interest in solving problems and improving processes
A growth mindset, with an appetite to keep learning and developing
Strong time management and the ability to juggle multiple deadlines
Experience supporting or informally guiding more junior colleagues would be useful, but this isn't a line management role.
The Package:
Alongside the responsibility and visibility of the role, there's a lot to like about the way this firm looks after its people.
You'll receive:
£40,000(c) salary
Hybrid working, with 3 days a week in the Bournemouth office and the rest from home
A genuinely open approach to flexible working, so if you're looking for a different pattern, we may be able to accomodate
33 days' holiday
Study assistance to support your professional qualifications
Pension, life assurance and income protection
Access to flexible benefits
A warm, supportive and award-winning culture
This is an opportunity to step into a senior, trusted role within a growing, award-winning firm, where your experience will be valued, your ideas will be heard and there's genuine room to grow as the business does.
For a financial services operations professional looking for more ownership without line management, a firm that invests in its people, and a role at the heart of a growing business, we'd love to hear from you.
