Stores Controller: The operational heartbeat of a busy manufacturing team

📍 Wilton, Salisbury | 💰 £29,400 pa | 🕘 39 hrs per week, Mon–Fri (early finish Fridays!)

This is a great opportunity for someone who takes pride in keeping things running smoothly behind the scenes. You'll be the person who makes sure the right stock is in the right place at the right time, and the team around you is supported to do their best work.

What you'll be doing

  • Receiving, inspecting and verifying incoming goods against delivery documentation

  • Managing stock control across components, sub-assemblies and consumables

  • Recording and monitoring all stock movements using Factory Master

  • Supervising and supporting Stores Operatives day to day

  • Coordinating staff training, holiday planning and maintaining training records

  • Operating forklift trucks safely and maintaining housekeeping standards

  • Contributing to continuous improvement initiatives across the department

What we're looking for

  • Experience in stores, warehouse or inventory control, ideally in a manufacturing environment

  • Confident using stock management or ERP systems

  • A natural leader who can train and support a small team

  • Strong attention to detail and solid organisational skills

  • Health & Safety awareness and manual handling knowledge

  • Forklift licence desirable but not essential

  • ISO 9001 knowledge is a bonus
