Due to some exponential growth within the business over the past year, our client - a leading design and manufacturing organisation based near Salisbury is looking to recruit a capable and engaging specification sales person to manage a portfolio of built clients as well as nurturing new relationships from inception to completion of various sized projects.
Our client are household name within their niche market and have spent several years building their reputation through their desire to deliver as well as their first class products they provide.
In the role of Sales Manager you would be responsible for driving the portfolio forward, taking a 'route to market' approach when it comes to sales, understanding the 'long game' in specification sales and having the aptitude to spot opportunities to build effective relationships at the early stages of a build ensuring the company are well positioned to be there at the time of completion.
Key responsibilities include:
Line managing 1-2 Sales coordinators
Developing a department in it's entirety over time
Maximise the specification and sale of all relevant products
Care for the customer and develop relationships from an early stage
Demonstrate a proactive approach to building a pipeline of activity for the business
Respond to tenders in a swift and timely fashion
Manage and agree monthly, annual budgets
Provide input and feedback to the Marketing department and to be involved in the wider reaching marketing activities
Review and implement new procedures where required
Use an inhouse CRM system to record and communicate effectively
Experience required:
The key is finding the right communicator with all the hallmarks of being able to proactively unearth opportunities and build relationships at an early stage so that the company brand can be identified at key stages along the sales process
Understanding specification sales process is essential
A technical background or interest is an advantage
A positive team outlook is essential as the team is growing and the business will continue to expand so exciting opportunities lie ahead
