You will provide essential administrative and operational support to facilitate the smooth execution of business activities. This position offers the chance to contribute to the success of the company while gaining valuable experience in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
Key responsibilities and attributes of the Commercial Assistant will include:
Assisting in the preparation and coordination of commercial documents, including contracts, Non-Disclosure Agreements, and presentations
Supporting the commercial team in conducting market research, gathering data, and analysing industry trends
Collaborating with internal stakeholders to gather information, compile reports, and provide timely updates on commercial projects and initiatives
Coordinating and maintaining the commercial department's filing system, ensuring proper organisation and easy access to important documents
Assisting in managing communication channels with clients, suppliers, and internal teams to facilitate smooth business operations
Monitoring and tracking the progress of commercial projects, ensuring adherence to deadlines and addressing any issues that may arise
Helping prepare and deliver regular reports to the Head of Commercial and SLT
Contributing to the development and implementation of streamlined processes and best practices to enhance efficiency and effectiveness within the commercial department
Staying updated on industry regulations, market trends, and competitive landscape to provide valuable insights and support decision-making
Essential skills and experiences needed to succeed in this role:
Full UK Driving license.
Educated to A-level or equivalent standard
Proven experience in a commercial administrative or support role, preferably within either the defence or aerospace sectors
Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
Proficient in using office productivity software (e.g., Microsoft Office Suite, spreadsheets, presentation tools)
Effective communication skills, both verbal and written
Analytical mindset
Proactive and self-motivated, with the ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team
Knowledge of relevant industry regulations and commercial practices is desired
Ability to commit to occasional national travel
