We are recruiting for an exciting opportunity to be a part of a growing market leader in the design and manufacture industry. Our client have over 40 years experience in the sector and are a highly regarded, innovative company. They are looking for an experienced Design Engineer to join their team.
This is a wonderful chance to be a part of a renowned design team in which your designs will be at the forefront and you will own the complete design process. The successful candidate will have previously worked with 3D CAD tools and will hold an Engineering qualification.
Key responsibilities and attributes of the Design Engineer will include:
Designing new products using the company CAD systems
Ensuring products meet necessary standards
Analysing designs, including considering stressors and possible use
Creating product manuals
Producing and maintaining bills for design materials
Building initial prototypes and instructions
Creating electrical wiring diagrams
Training other staff members where appropriate
Essential skills and experiences needed to succeed in this role:
Design engineering experience
Engineering qualification (HNC/HND/Degree)
CAD experience
Teamwork and communication skills
Problem solving
Ability to prioritise workloads
Attention to detail
