A new role is now available for a Service Engineer to join a Salisbury based business, to support all customers requirements across the local area primarily but also at some clients further afield.
Our client is a business that has been established for over 50 years and is one of the UK's largest manufacturers within their niche field and have an excellent reputation with their entire customer base. In fact, their customer base ranges from, industrial process plants, steel mills, utility companies and drainage contractors. Their machinery can be fixed or mobile and either diesel or electrically powered. They also export to over 50 countries worldwide with a sister company in the States.
What we are looking for: This is a great opportunity for a mechanically biased Service Engineer, who is looking for a long term role working directly for a UK manufacturer. You will need the ability to diagnose faults and if you had some experience of engine electronic control systems that would be an advantage.
This role will suit a Service Engineer with a mechanical bias and a knowledge of hydraulic systems. Applicants with mobile plant, construction plant, forklifts, agricultural plant, HGV, car mechanics, heavy forces equipment or similar background will transfer well into the role.
More details of the role:
Depot service, field service, commissioning new machines and fault finding on bespoke equipment
Covering the South and up to Midlands of England
Regular support and communications with the team at the HQ in Salisbury
Overseas service and commissioning trips maybe available
Skills and characteristics we are looking for:
A can do attitude with strong customer service ethic
Experience in the service and repair of Mechanical Products
Comfortable using laptop/tablet and service reporting software
Clean UK driving license with entitlement to tow trailers to 3.5tTop of Form
