A new vacancy is now available for an IT Support Officer to join a growing engineering company that delivers mission-critical engineering to specific industries across Europe. We are looking for a candidate who can play a key role in advising on areas of improvement across process and procedures, helping to implement a safe and secure approach to information security.
The main purpose of the role is to:To support the key development of IT Security in the business, in addition to the management of equipment to new starters, leavers, department moves. The role will manage external vendor relationships as part of a service delivery model to the business. It holds responsibility for Cyber Essentials certification, and service availability of the company's IT infrastructure.
Key responsibilities include:
Maintain effective working relationships with the company IT contractor
Support Head of Function with response requests
To support Head of Function with response requests from Parent Company on matters relating to IT.
Suitable maintenance of asset logs for IT including software in a form at agreed with the Head of Function.
Ensuring engagement with the business for the change in equipment, software or method of working
Support IT Initiatives
Identify and produce suitable key performance
Key skills and competences required include:
Able to draft and implement processes and procedures
Willingness to learn IT & Security issues and actions
Confident user of MS Office
Ability to prioritise workloads
Clear communication skills
Team player
