​We are recruiting on behalf of a growing market leader in the design and manufacture industry. Our client have over 40 years experience in the sector and are a highly regarded, innovative company. They are looking for a dedicated Technical Manager to join their team.

The successful candidate will be required to oversee the running of the Compliance and Quality areas of the business and working knowledge of QMS is very much an essential for the role. You will use you skill set to deliver excellent service across all aspects of the technical side of the company. They will also offer support to the Commercial team in a technical sale capacity, and ensure the effective delivery of all technical, quality, approval, and compliance aspects of the business.

Key responsibilities and attributes of the Technical Manager will include:

  • Develop and maintain technical product data, covering installation, specification, and maintenance of relevant products

  • Produce manufacture and process Standard Operating Procedures and work instructions

  • Implement technical training for new product modifications

  • Provide additional technical guidance to the Design department, dealing with customers and suppliers

  • Apply for and maintain technical approvals to ensure product compliance with standards

  • Provide technical support for Manufacture, Purchasing, and Field Service Departments

  • Liaise with company lawyers for existing Trademarks, Patents, and Registered Drawings

  • Provide input and expertise at a senior management level, as required

Essential skills and experiences needed to succeed in this role:

  • Managerial experience, ideally quality, maintenance, or compliance personnel

  • Engineering background with deep knowledge of the technical sector

  • Prioritisation skills

  • Teamwork

  • Good communication
