​The Business Analyst will help to define the long-term systems strategy by ensuring a complete understanding of business and stakeholder requirements (or improvements) and proposing suitable solutions.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Proactively engaging with stakeholders and end users

  • Mapping out & documenting system requirements

  • Documenting internal team processes

  • Identifying gaps and recommending potential solutions/suppliers

  • Becoming an expert on how our business works

Sprint & Project Delivery:

  • Translating requirements from stakeholders and partners into technical briefs

  • Define and perform QA testing

Business Performance Improvement:

  • Continuous analysis of complex datasets and customer behaviour

  • Designing solutions/processes to improve sales, retention and underwriting performance

Experience, Qualifications & Skills

  • Experience in insurance/fintech or financial sector

  • Experience working with payment platforms and BACS

  • Enjoy variety and a fast-paced environment

  • Excellent problem solving and analytical skills

  • Experience interrogating datasets using SQL, Jupyter & Tableau (or similar)

  • Commercial understanding of KPIs, loss ratios, risk and commission

  • Good working knowledge of software development concepts such as system design, APIs and data structure

  • Ability to work independently in a small team, confidently managing your own time and proactively communicating with stakeholders

  • Enjoys being the bridge between non-technical users and development teams

  • A proactive and curious individual, constantly looking to improve own knowledge

The role is predominantly office based but will have some flexibility to work from home. There may also be some occasional travel to Mayfair, London.

Reporting to a CTO. The hours for the role are M-F 9am - 5pm, the role comes with a number of benefits including 25 days holiday.
