We are recruiting for an experienced Claims Manager to join our client, an emerging niche insurance provider, that was created to make the important decision of buying insurance simple and easy to understand from choosing a quote to website navigation.
Their 'quick quote' allows you to select the best policy available with efficiency and accuracy. Innovation in the market is vital to our client and they have developed a unique market product as part of their Public Liability cover.
The company are situated in fabulous Salisbury based offices, have spent 18 months implementing planning to support their projected growth. They have invested in not only exciting new premises, but software, highly skilled personnel and now the next piece in their jigsaw is to employ the services of an experienced Claims Manager who can lead from the front in regards to strategic planning and help nurture growth in the division and wider business.
This is a highly accountable role, managing a small Claims team yet maximising the team's performance daily. There will be a significant focus on helping the company underwrite profitable business on an increasing scale. The role provides opportunity to play a key role in claims management across all product lines.
What do I ReQuire:
The job holder will need to demonstrate a strong technical flair in Claims and broker introduced business, including personal, commercial lines and product classes. You would also lead the client facing element of retail and broker driven claims, as well as achieving loss ratio targets
Key responsibilities and accountabilities:
Ensure standards are set and met
Review claims strategies, produce MI data and liaise with Insurers
Drive and deliver ambitious loss ratio targets in a B2B & B2C environment
Drive the customer/broker experience
Be responsible for ensuring net loss ratios and profitability targets are achieved
Innovate and engage with all areas of the business operations to gain maximum exposure
Maximise productivity
Work closely with intermediaries to develop relationships with existing clients promoting Company products
Develop internal reporting
Carry out effective performance management of the team
Technical skills, knowledge & experience we are looking for:
Successful influencer (internal and external partners)
Effective relationship builder
Strong business acumen
Management style that compliments a commercial environment
Up to date knowledge of legislation and regulation
Significant business acumnen in operational management
Ability to interpret claims trend analysis
Previous experience in a Claims Supervisor/Technical or Managerial role is an advantage
