We are delighted to be handling the recruitment of this new exciting role on an exclusive basis on behalf of our client based in the heart of Salisbury. As Head of Culture and People, you will be joining a business group that brings their products to market which address the demands and needs of today’s online consumer, while providing the best possible service at the best possible price.
The main purpose of the role is to: establish and maintain a values-based performance culture, where the core company values guide decision making across the Group and supports employees to contribute to their full potential. Create and deliver both strategically and operationally a Group people management strategy to support the organisations strategic aims whilst providing expert HR advice and support.
Key responsibilities include:
Develop HR policies and procedures to underpin the Culture and People strategy whilst promoting consistency and fairness across the group
Provide expert HR advice to Directors & Managers in line with business objectives, policies, procedures and current legislation
Apply expert knowledge to initiate ideas, challenge the Senior team where required
Be excited by the prospect of project management across an array of HR functions. A Learning & Development strategy to ensure continuous development is an example of this
Support the management team to evolve the organisational structure and develop strategy for recruitment and retention
Liaise with departments across the business
Create maintain and support a structure of regular feedback meetings and appraisals in line with culture and values of the organisation
Ensure performance management processes are in place
Stay abreast of and ensure compliance with employment legislation
Maintain HR records
Manage and support the process of induction of all new staff
Work closely with board level and demonstrate a versatility to liaise with various offices within the Group
Experiences and skills we are looking for:
Sound and up to date understanding of current HR and organisational development practices
Excellent knowledge of UK employment legislation and codes of practices and their practical application
Postgraduate degree holder in human resources or equivalent experience
Fully qualified CIPD with some clear experience since qualifying is essential
A leader within HR - Someone who implements and improves strategy but equally someone who can handle any generic HR queries
The company are at an exciting stage of their life and now is the time to bring in a key senior HR Manager to help shape and develop the business. You will need to show versatility, strength in being able to influence and communicate as well as calling on your skills and experiences. The role is full time, based in Salisbury but your role will include liaising and on the odd occasion visiting three other locations in the UK under the group.
