We have a lovely new role now available to join a distribution firm based just outside of the city. In this role you will work closely with an Operations Director who will mentor and train you will all aspects of the business as it continues to grow. Together, you will be responsible for all daily activity relating to the performance of the business. The role is 9am - 5pm in a pleasant and relaxed environment.

The role will see you take on a variety of tasks so it's a role that suits someone pro active and keen to be busy. On all aspects of the Operations role you will be fully trained and supported in further development where required.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Supporting the Sales team with order taking

  • Producing quotes

  • Liaising with suppliers, customers

  • Communicating key information regarding orders to the warehouse team on site

  • Reconciliation and other generic accounts related duties (no qualification necessary, full training is provided)

  • General office administration

  • Ensure stock is on track and arrives on time

  • Import/Export (full training provided)

This is a refreshing role to take on, it is an opportunity for someone to join a growing business here in Salisbury which has the stability of being part of a larger company internationally. We are looking for someone who enjoys being in a varied role and is quite willing to learn and work closely with a Head of Operations who is passionate about growing the UK side of the business.

Key skills and experiences required

  • ATTITUDE OVER APTITUDE - We want someone who has a positive outlook and wants to make a difference

  • MS Office skills - You will need to be competent using Outlook, Excel, Word

  • Pro active - Someone who goes out of their way to assist and provide service is key

  • A will to learn - Be open to learning new things and absorb information

  • An eye for detail - at times you will be inputting key figures relating to quotes, orders

  • Able to work autonomously - At times you may be on your own in the office due to client meetings

Situated in a Salisbury location offering free parking, the role is full time based in the office there are dog friendly and you are welcome to bring your dog to work with you.
