​A great new role is now available for a Procurement Coordinator to join a small team and play an integral role in the sourcing of all materials used on site. The role will offer you great exposure to various Procurement and Purchasing processes and the opportunity to work closely with and learn from a Procurement Manager. The role offers some flexibility and is based at a fantastic modern complex in Salisbury.

The Procurement Co-Ordinator is responsible for supporting in the sourcing of all materials and services by following specific company procedures.

Key duties and responsibilities will include:

  • Undertake invitation to Tender sourcing and ensure the correct procedure is taken

  • Have a good understanding of Terms and Conditions

  • Create spend reports and analyse the data

  • Provide supplier credit and background checks to mitigate risks

  • Determining supply needs and researching potential suppliers

  • Sourcing suppliers/vendors

  • Documenting the features and benefits of products and services via comparison reports

  • Preparing cost-benefit analysis reports for review by managers

  • Documenting processes and generating monthly spend reports

  • Monitoring the company's demand for products to avoid supply shortages

  • Keeping up to date with industry trends

In this role you will work closely with various teams across the business, ranging from Production, Finance, Supply Chain, Engineering, H&S and externally, you will work with Suppliers, Specialist Contractors.

Key skills and experiences we are ideally looking for in our next Procurement Coordinator are:

  • An understanding of the importance when building good working relationships and an awareness for inhouse management systems

  • Some previous Procurement/Purchasing experience is key (12months minimum)

  • A basic understanding of Procurement regulations

  • Excellent communication skills

  • Strong analytical skill set

  • Confident negotiation skills

  • Advanced MS Excel skills

This is a great opportunity for someone in their 2nd Procurement/Purchasing support role. Initially an 18 month FTC but the benefits are all the same including 38 days annual leave!
