We are currently looking for an experienced Production Manager for a client of ours within the Engineering industry. This role has become available due to growth, so this is certainly an exciting opportunity for someone to come in and focus on growing the Production department under their leadership.
Key responsibilities will include:
Liaise and working with other Senior members of the workshop team
Assess project and resource requirements
Plan and organise resource schedules for workshop personnel, facilities and machinery
Act as Line Manager for the Production Team
Take responsibility for all Workshop Activity Requests
Take responsibility for all workshop machinery, workspace, stock, parts and consumables
Develop and implement Lean, FOD and GMP for all areas of Production and Product Development
Ensure that staff are trained appropriately in all workshop disciplines.
Oversee and create workshop production processes ensuring that they run reliably and efficiently
Making sure production tasks are completed on time, within budget and to the correct standard
Applying quality control standards
Ensure that health and safety requirements are met for staff and processes
To be successful in this role we are looking for candidates with at least 5+ years’ worth of Production Manufacturing experience, you will be required to demonstrate leadership experience as you will be leading a team within this role. You will require an understanding of Lean Management and '5S' principles and an ability to implement them in the workplace. We are looking for candidates who have an understanding of basic engineering principles, and someone with good time management and organisational skills.
