We have a new role now available for a Purchasing Assistant to join our long standing client, a reputable friendly firm based in Andover. Our client are looking to add to their Purchasing team by bringing on board a permanent Purchasing Assistant who can play a supportive role to the Senior Buyer for all of the companies procurement and management of stock and pricing.
Some of the key duties will include:
Being responsible for supplier accounts and maintaining excellent working relationships with key counter parts
Place orders as necessary, liaising with relevant suppliers
Follow up on all open purchase orders
Liaise with Buyers to ensure significant stock is on order to meet demand
Support with forecasting and planning
Produce reports of all weekly activity
Communicate all product changes where applicable
Assist Senior team with preparation for trade shows and seminars
General administrative support to the Buying team
Key skills and experiences we are certainly looking for in our new Purchasing Assistant:
Competent MS Office skills (Excel, Outlook)
A proven track record of delivering effective communications in a previous role via email and/or phone
A team player
A planner, an organiser, someone who has excellent attention to detail
Ability to work alone at times
