We have an exciting opportunity to join one of our clients who are a leading distributor within fibre and copper networks. Our client has a comprehensive catalogue and web site which contains in the region of 40,000 products and they pride themselves in offering complete solutions including cable, connectors, panels, cabinets and all associated items to install and test the entire system.

The opportunity we have for you is as an Account Manager who's primary goal is to develop long term partnerships with target customers, by providing technical product quotations and tailored solution proposals.

We are looking for a candidate who can demonstrate fantastic customer service skills as well as being able to upsell and contact their account customers on a regular basis, a good telephone manner is essential, however the majority of communication is via email.

This role is all about nurturing and developing relationships so you will need to be able to

  • Develop existing key accounts

  • Sell across the full range of products

  • Be able to demonstrate a sales capability of selling technology solutions and business concepts to prospective clients, across all levels

  • Excellent customer service skills and strategic relationship management


As full training will be provided, this role could suit a Graduate who has completed a technical degree in any discipline or potentially you may already have a telecoms/fibreoptic background and want to move into the office from the road, but most importantly you need to be able to enjoy talking to people and thrive in technical environments.

  • An entrepreneurial individual, keen to be successful and take advantage of an opportunity

  • Numerate, with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail

  • Technically aware and can effectively hold a discussion with customer technical departments. 

  • Excellent communication skills, virtual team management skills, a team player, focused, able to liaise and work remotely

  • A good level of working knowledge of Microsoft office
