We have a new opportunity now available for an experienced Warehouse or Storeman to join a design and manufacturing firm on a permanent basis and look after the goods in and out of the small stores area. You will have the opportunity to join a friendly welcoming team and be part of a business that is constantly evolving with products that lead the way in their niche market place.
Key responsibilities will include:
Check content, quality and quantity against delivery paperwork
Receive goods via an ERP system (full training provided)
Ensure stock is stored away carefully
Use and perform daily checks
Ensure all goods are clearly labelled
Rotate goods when required
Keep stores area clean and tidy
Load and despatch outgoing freight
The environment is a spacious, clean site and you will be responsible for your Stores arena ensuring the goods moved in and out are logged and verified. We are looking for a candidate who has previous IT skills, even if it is using the general MS Office packages. Our client will offer you full training on their ERP systems, so previous experience of that or SAP is an advantage, but certainly not essential.
The key for this role is to find a candidate who takes pride in their work and enjoys the responsibility that comes with the upkeep of a Stores area. You can have previous Warehouse experience, or from a Stores/Logistical background.
The company will also put you through a training course for your forklift licence if you need to take one. So forklift experience is not essential.
This position is 37.5hrs per week over four days: Mon-Thurs, (Friday's are off for the immediate future).
