We are currently looking for a Stores person to join a company based on the outskirts of Salisbury. The position has become available due to recent acquisitions made within the organisation. The role of Stores person will see you take on responsibility for a number of tasks within the Stores area.
Some of the duties you will be responsible for are:
Managing Goods In including receiving orders from couriers, checking the
accuracy of orders, ensuring proof of delivery has been recorded and recording
Liaising with the Project Management and Accounts teams on Goods receipts
Managing the Resource Management Systems
Conducting daily stock checks
Anticipating stock levels and reordering where required
Managing Goods Out: including raising shipping documentation, packing,
arranging collections, handing over orders to couriers and ensuring proof of
collection has been recorded
Collating production job boxes for specified manufacturing tasks where
We are looking for candidates who hold a Forklift Licence, as well as previous experience of managing stock and working within a busy workshop. A good standard of IT experience is required also, especially on Excel as our client use various spreadsheets to record a lot of the data for the stock. It is essential that you have a positive worth ethic are hard working and have an excellent eye for detail.
Owning your own transport is essential due to the location of the role. Very close to Salisbury City Centre, however not on a bus route.
