We have a great new role for a Supplier Quality Engineer to join a leading Design and Manufacturing organisation who are a market leader in their arena. The role is full time and based in Salisbury, Wilts.
The chosen candidate will work with the supply chain and closely with colleagues to continually improve processes so that products and services meet or exceed specifications, evaluate products and services through inspection, testing and analysis.
An SQE works with colleagues in technical. design, procurement and manufacturing to assess new suppliers to ensure they are capable of meeting product & performance requirements. They also evaluate ongoing supplier performance to ensure the supply base continues to meet business needs. A Supplier Quality Engineer problem-solves and communicates viable solutions to improve the quality of products and services. You will also be required to work with a wide range of colleagues and suppliers to discuss improvements and ways to implement changes.
Key duties will include:
Developing quality control systems
Working with colleagues and suppliers to improve product quality and supply performance
Auditing internal quality systems in line with ISO 9001
Administering management information systems
Finding ways to increase productivity
Decreasing waste and rejects
Optimising resources
Writing action plans
Ensuring compliance with regulations and policies
Conducting supplier audits
We are looking for a stand out candidate who has at least 2+ years working in a Manufacturing environment. A form of Engineering qualification, an HND, BTEC or Degree. We want to hear from candidates who have an avid interest in wanting to continually update their skill set and who are always looking for innovative ways to increase productivity within a business.
