​We are recruiting on behalf of a locally based design and manufacturing firm who have a position now available for a Technically minded candidate to be responsible for ensuring the company adhere to a variety of standards safeguarding the completion of their product range. The business operates across a number of sectors, some of which require more standard to be met than others so the ideal candidate is someone who can appreciate technical descriptions and instructions to be able to relay key information to the Product team and Senior Management.

The position will give you a wide array of diversity as you will be ensuring a variety of different products meet the the desired standards required.

Key responsibilities of the role will include:

  • Reusing technical documentation to ensure the company are adhering to each set of standards required

  • Arrange for testing, review and validation to meet various compliance frameworks

  • Maintaining technical files per product including all test reports, certificates

  • Reviewing each relevant standard to ensure re-testing is conducted in a timely manner

  • Continually develop compliance and product knowledge

  • Work with other members of the Compliance division to ensure all products pass the required compliance checks

Key skills and experience we are looking for in this role:

  • Excellent MS Office skills

  • The ability to read technical information and understand technical drawings

  • Capable of reading and interpreting compliance information

  • Excellent attention to detail

  • An understanding, or interest in some form of Engineering

  • The ability to research, document and pass on key extracts of content relating to product compliance

This role is a new position within the business and has been crafted to give someone the chance to develop the role in the manner they see fit. You need to be someone who enjoys researching and reading technical documentation, perhaps you have worked in an Engineering role and have been using Technical drawings - that is certainly a background of interest.

The role is full time, condensed to work 36hrs per week including a 1pm finish on a Friday.
