We are looking for a new Senior Web Developer to join our client's Digital team. This is a great opportunity that offers flexible working, specifically we are looking for prior commercial experience and for someone who knows good design when they see it!
Our client, is a communications agency with an agile working model. They work with an array of clients and develop digital communications that help improve their client's outcomes. These include but not limited to: websites, applications, videos, eDetails, emails and training.
An understanding of the following areas are required:
The entire web development process (design, development and deployment)
Layout aesthetics
Responsive design and how it works across the fluid device landscape
SEO principles
Cross-browser compatibility issues, and ways to work around them
Code versioning tools, such as GIT
Asynchronous request handling, partial page updates, and Ajax
Software like Adobe Suite, Adobe XD, Photoshop and content management systems
Turning UI/UX designs into prototypes, creating excellent interactions from designs
Browser and device testing and debugging
Knowledge and experience using:
HTML using various frameworks, strong knowledge of Bootstrap
CSS Stylesheets and LESS
Javascript, JQuery and other Javascript frameworks
.NET and PHP
ReactJS(nice to have)
Skills and qualifications:
Minimum 2:1 degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or related area
An ability to perform well in a fast-paced environment
Excellent analytical and multitasking skills
Staying up to date on emerging technologies and contribute to team knowledge
Optimising applications for maximum scalability and speed
Writing reusable code and libraries (with matching documentation) to a standard which makes it quick and easy to maintain the code in the future
Passion for all things digital, software AND web applications(showcasing your own developments outside of your studies is a huge plus)
