​We are looking for a new Senior Web Developer to join our client's Digital team. This is a great opportunity that offers flexible working, specifically we are looking for prior commercial experience and for someone who knows good design when they see it!

Our client, is a communications agency with an agile working model. They work with an array of clients and develop digital communications that help improve their client's outcomes. These include but not limited to: websites, applications, videos, eDetails, emails and training. 

An understanding of the following areas are required:

  • The entire web development process (design, development and deployment)

  • Layout aesthetics

  • Responsive design and how it works across the fluid device landscape

  • SEO principles

  • Cross-browser compatibility issues, and ways to work around them

  • Code versioning tools, such as GIT

  • Asynchronous request handling, partial page updates, and Ajax

  • Software like Adobe Suite, Adobe XD, Photoshop and content management systems

  • Turning UI/UX designs into prototypes, creating excellent interactions from designs

  • Browser and device testing and debugging

Knowledge and experience using:

  • HTML using various frameworks, strong knowledge of Bootstrap

  • CSS Stylesheets and LESS

  • Javascript, JQuery and other Javascript frameworks

  • .NET and PHP

  • ReactJS(nice to have)

Skills and qualifications:

  • Minimum 2:1 degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or related area

  • An ability to perform well in a fast-paced environment

  • Excellent analytical and multitasking skills

  • Staying up to date on emerging technologies and contribute to team knowledge

  • Optimising applications for maximum scalability and speed

  • Writing reusable code and libraries (with matching documentation) to a standard which makes it quick and easy to maintain the code in the future

  • Passion for all things digital, software AND web applications(showcasing your own developments outside of your studies is a huge plus)
