Are you an organised and motivated finance professional looking to take the next step in your career? This is a fantastic opportunity to join a busy Commercial division as an Accounts Assistant, where you’ll play a key role in supporting the accounts team across payroll, ledgers, and reporting.
What You’ll Be Doing
You’ll provide accurate and timely support across a variety of financial processes, ensuring everything runs smoothly. Your day-to-day will include:
Processing invoices, credit notes, and receipts for both sales and purchase ledgers
Carrying out credit control and credit checks
Reconciling purchase ledger payments for director approval
Managing cash book entries and performing bank reconciliations
Supporting costings using Pegasus CIS
Generating and processing sales ledger invoices and applications for payment
Using systems including Sage 200, Sage 50, and Pegasus (training offered)
What We’re Looking For
We’d love to hear from you if you have:
✅ Previous experience in a similar accounts role
✅ Good knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
✅ Solid understanding of double-entry bookkeeping
✅ Strong communication and relationship-building skills
✅ Excellent attention to detail and a methodical, logical approach
✅ A positive work ethic and the ability to meet deadlines
Bonus points if you have experience within Buildings/Construction/Manufacturing industry.
