​​​An excellent new vacancy for an eCommerce Trading's Manager is now live, working for our client, an omni-channel retailer who markets themselves across various platforms. As part of their growth strategy, we have been tasked to identify stand out candidates with the necessary skills required to maximise the revenue and profit of opportunities via the eCommerce operation in both direct to consumer and member facing activities.

The role will ensure all commercial aspects of the eCommerce operation are planned, developed and implemented from promotions, pricing, forecasting stock requirements and commercial planning. The role will guide the commercial strategy for the function in order to grow revenue and profitability.

Main responsibilities:

  • Develop the e-commerce business plan

  • To ensure that the website is competitive from both a profit and pricing perspective

  • Works with the purchasing team to secure the appropriate range, stock, and offers to support sales opportunities

  • To identify areas of commercial opportunity from services, incentives, and product offer for the e-commerce operation

  • Quickly identify and help resolve operational barriers to trading effectively – from technical to business

  • To develop competitive policies to ensure the e-commerce operation can develop revenue objectives

  • To help shape the e-commerce team needs to quickly and effectively merchandise the right range, identify and implement the right selling tools and experience, as well as help build the reports, analytics, and insights to guide business decisions and communicate to stakeholders

  • Support proactive and collaborative planning with other functions to ensure financial, stock, range, pricing/profit, demand generation,, and customer experience and service are effectively aligned

  • Support collaboration with 3rd parties to enhance the value proposition of the e-commerce site

  • Develop a regularly weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual rhythm and process to engage members and management in developing the capability of e-commerce function and the digital capability across the company

  • Continually identify and communicate digital best practices developed internally and sourced externally

  • Be accountable for revenue, profit, growth, and customer metrics as defined by the company
