ReQuire is recruiting for an Accounts Assistant to join a well-established manufacturing business in Salisbury.
You’ll be joining a friendly and supportive finance team of 8-10 people, working in a collaborative environment where accuracy, teamwork and reliability are valued. The business has a long-standing reputation in its industry and offers a stable, structured finance department with modern office space.
This role would suit someone who enjoys working in a hands-on accounts role, supporting the day-to-day running of a busy finance function.
The job spec
Working closely with the Financial Controller and wider accounts team, you’ll support across sales ledger, purchase ledger and cash book processes, helping ensure the finance function runs smoothly and efficiently.
Your responsibilities will include:
Processing sales ledger invoices, credit notes and receipts
Supporting credit control and credit checks
Assisting with purchase ledger processing, including invoices and supplier payments
Reconciling purchase ledger payments for approval
Supporting cash book transactions and bank reconciliations
Assisting with costing processes
Maintaining accurate financial records and supporting routine reporting
Assisting the finance team with month-end activities
Who we are looking for:
This role would suit someone who is:
Experienced in an Accounts Assistant or finance administration role, or looking to build a career in accounts
Highly organised with strong attention to detail
A reliable team player who enjoys working in a collaborative environment
Comfortable working in a busy office environment supporting multiple finance processes
Confident using IT systems and Microsoft Office
