A new opportunity, is now available for an experienced Accounts candidate (Management Accountant) who is well versed in month on month production of management accounts in order to demonstrate that they have produced them fully, can explain variances as they understand the movements during the financial year against budget, and had year on year responsibility of the P&L and balance sheets.  

The most critical part of this role is to find the right candidate who understands the make up of the P&L and balance sheet as well as basic accounting and reconciliations behind the ledgers.

You will be working in a small team within a wider business. The team is currently made up of a Finance Manager who manages the remaining Accounts Assistants, there is also a Group Management Accountant, who you would work closely with.

Experience we are looking for includes:

  • Working within a Finance team/department

  • Preparation of management accounts.

  • Preparation of audits.

  • Reading/manipulating financial analysis in excel.

Essential Skills we consider appropriate:

  • Strong problem-solving skills.

  • Excellent attention to detail with high level of accuracy.

  • A sound level of Microsoft Office (intermediate excel skills level);

  • A professional approach in dealing with internal/external customers, suppliers and manufacturers.

  • Excellent communications skills

  • Personal integrity.

  • Track record as a team player.

Ultimately we are looking for a candidate who is fully AAT qualified who has some hands on experience within an office environment specifically around the preparation of management accounts and quarterly and annual budgets. However if you are also someone who is determined to one day acheive your CIMA/ACCA or other such like qualification, don't be deterred as our client are known for their support to employee development and will champion any further education should the role require it.
