We have an exciting Technical vacancy to kick things off in 2022, our award winning client are looking to invest in their Design team by hiring the services of a talented CAD Engineer. This is an exciting opportunity to join a Design team supporting in their existing but also new products they plan on bringing to life over the next few years.
The role will require you to use 3D CAD and product design skills to support design functions and help maintain a drawing office. The role will include some hands on work, for example testing new products and prototypes. You will also maintain bills of materials and produce documentation such as engineering drawings, works instructions, product manuals among others
What do I ReQuire to be successful?
Certainly a Product Design or CAD Engineering related degree or proven experience. That's the first thing. Then, we would also want to see an enthusiasm to understand existing successes and how that can help shape your role. Someone who is willing to work well with other like minded Design enthusiasts. We would look at a HNC or higher in Design Engineering, if you have relevant experience then what would be advantageous is previous working in an ISO9001 framework.
Key responsibilities within the role:
Regularly using 3D design CAD system
Using MRP system to create Bills of Materials - training will be offered
Testing and prototyping new and existing designs as required
Other design related duties as required based on the brief
The role is based in Salisbury out of our client's design studio. The role is full time including a 1pm finish on a Friday. 32 days holiday per annum (inclusive of bank holiday).
