We are delighted to be recruiting a Product Design Engineer for an award winning, market leader and specialist in the design and manufacture of their product range. The role will see you join a Design Team, creating innovative new products.
About you: We are looking for a Product / Design Engineer to work on a range of products. With a background in product design / design engineering and using your project management experience, you will use 3D CAD to design functional and aesthetically pleasing products that comply with customer requirements. You will need to gain an understanding of existing products and procedures, such that you can carry out design work and provide technical support for other departments. You should have an appreciation for the visual as well the functional engineering aspects of product design. This is a varied role which requires an adaptable person, willing to problem solve across a range of products.
Requirements and experiences:
Engineering qualification, bias or background
Practical engineering knowledge
Background in Product Design or design engineering
Project management experience
Supplier liaison
Experience of general drawing office procedures working within an ISO9001 framework
Knowledge of Key shot or other rendering software
Responsibilities:
Using 3D design CAD system
Use of an MRP system and Vault CAD to maintain models and drawings
Testing, prototyping and problem solving, new existing designs as required
Provide engineering expertise to other departments
