The five key elements to the job are:

  1. Create and improve Embedded Software Applications to support EMEA and the Global team

  2. Customer/Sales support

  3. Support product life cycle management

  4. Support training for EMEA OEM & Distribution Customers

  5. Live out the Company Core Values

Within the role some of the Primary responsibilities will include:

  • Creating and improving embedded software applications to enable customer development in C++, Codesys, C#

  • Create applications that allows the deployment of vehicle infotainment, media, visual and cartography systems to the general market. 

  • Develop accurate and well documented test plans to test and validate code and applications

  • Quickly understand the application requirements and make smart decisions about the best solution to a problem. 

  • Collaborate with the team to create simple and supportable designs as well as participate in implementing designs.

  • Create accurate estimates of the time involved to finish tasks based on his own knowledge skills and abilities.

  • Write software that adheres to coding standards and is supportable as well as meeting performance expectations.

Other key aspects of the spec include:

  • Communication with customers for product specification

  • Provide technical support to sales and assist in customer visits.

  • Support OEM sales by proactively understanding target customers' applications and develop demo configurations to aid the sale

  • Interface with outside engineering resources and/or customers.

  • Support the deployment of the new MCx and ACE controller platform to increase sales growth in EMEA

  • Follows the requirements of organisation’s New Product Development Process and associated procedures

  • Keep the team planner up to date with actions and status of active projects

  • Identify application development opportunities for existing products and/or new products

  • Coordinate with Sales and engineering to identify and provide training as required by customers

  • Coordinate with Tech support at HQ  to provide internal training and external training materials

  • Clear a path - by facilitating and improving the flow of product technical information to Sales to support new business opportunities.
