Are you an experienced stores professional looking to take the lead in a fast-paced and hands-on manufacturing environment? We’re hiring a Stores Controller to oversee the day-to-day running of stores operations for a respected and growing manufacturer.

🔧 What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Control and distribute stores materials including raw stock, sub-assemblies, and finished goods.

  • Act as the key contact for delivery companies and oversee outbound transport processes.

  • Manage all packaging and ensure safe, regulation-compliant dispatch.

  • Maintain up-to-date records (both electronic and hard copy) and ensure accurate stock control.

  • Supervise and support the Stores Operatives, including HR duties such as training and holiday booking.

  • Assist with quality checks for incoming goods (ISO 9001 procedures).

  • Operate forklift trucks and ensure compliance with safe manual handling practices.

  • Liaise with Production and Purchasing to help maintain correct stock levels.

  • Take charge of kitting operations and train others where needed.

✅ We’re Looking For:

  • Experience working in a manufacturing, production, or warehouse environment.

  • Strong communication and leadership skills.

  • A proactive, organised approach to stores and logistics.

  • Forklift licence and HSE manual handling awareness (desirable).

  • Experience with stock management systems or ERP software (advantageous).
