​​We are working exclusively with a global supplier of control systems and equipment to the leisure water industry. Our client are part of an American owned group who recently floated on the New York Stock Exchange. The business spans two decades and has dedicated that time to innovative design and development of their niche products.

We are seeking to recruit a full time UK wide Technical Sales Engineer to assist partners and customers with a high level of commercial and after service care. Whilst the role will see you work from home, one day a week would be set aside for testing and servicing of returned parts to the company headquarters in Salisbury.

Primary duties and responsibilities for the role include:

  • Provide full commercial support to our client's distributors and spa dealerships

  • Technical training events for customers and field service engineers

  • Offer technical advice and problem solving

  • Arrange to and spend time on site across an array of customers throughout the UK (mainly South/Midlands)

  • Attend UK and European trade exhibitions

Some of the key skills we are looking for to be a success in this role:

  • A background in Sales Engineering is essential

  • Having the aptitude to learn a new product is also necessary

  • Self motivated, able to diarise and arrange appointments with clients as and when required

  • A high degree of commercial awareness with a positive approach

  • A 2nd language is seem as an advantage, not essential

  • Experience of using a CRM system is preferred

You will have support available, courtesty of a Head office and small team but most contact would be remote in that respect, therefore we are looking for someone who has the 'get up and go' and is motivated to represent a strong brand here in the UK working closely with a loyal customer base. The role is certainly seen as relationship and account managing role as opposed to one that generates new leads.
