An opportunity for an experienced Buildings Officer has become available within a Charity who work with a plethora of partner organisations across the Wiltshire, Dorset region.
A wonderfully constructed role that offers the chance to support a Leadership team in advising and assisting their partners with the care for their buildings demonstrating care and conservation. Joining a small team, as the Buildings Officer you will be supported by your colleagues to facilitate each planning application.
Some of the key responsibilities will include:
Operate stages of faculty applications
Develop, implement, review team processes to create an improved workflow
Manage all site visits protocol and procedures
Advise partners on processes at key stages
Facilitate the running of various meetings: to include preparation of agendas, organising attendees, secretarial duties
Organise periodic reviews of approved architects and surveyors
Communicate effectively with partners when inspections are due and maintenance is to be carried out
Provide budgetary input and manage team expenditure
In order to be shortlisted for this opportunity you do need to have the following experience:
Previous experience working within Planning of a Local Authority OR experience of working within conservation or for a company related to the care of historical sites
Demonstrate capabilities of complex administrative processes
An interest in Historical buildings
Intermediate level skills of MS Office
Excellent communication skills
Confidence to facilitate many applications at one time
This is a unique and truly exciting challenge for someone with experience of expediting planning applications and with a love of Historical architecture.
A full time role split between home and office.
