Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM – 4:30 PM
About the Role

We are recruiting on behalf of a specialist organisation in the electrical and construction sector, seeking a Technical Administrator to provide essential project support from their Lee-on-the-Solent office.

This position is a pivotal part of the business, responsible for ensuring documentation, compliance, and coordination tasks are delivered accurately and on time. From preparing job packs and managing Risk Assessments and Method Statements (RAMS) to supporting audits and health & safety processes, this is a varied and fast-paced role where your organisational skills will shine.

The role would suit someone with previous experience in a technical support, construction admin, or facilities-based environment, who is confident managing multiple tasks and communicating with field teams and contractors.

Key Responsibilities

  • Produce and manage documentation for electrical and construction projects

  • Create and update RAMS

  • Prepare standard job quotations and assist with pricing documentation

  • Compile test sheets and compliance documentation for audits and handovers

  • Maintain accreditation files and support audits (e.g. ISO, CHAS, NICEIC)

  • Liaise with engineers, subcontractors, and internal teams to track project progress

  • Organise travel and accommodation arrangements for on-site teams

  • Manage job folders, document control, and version tracking

  • Provide administrative support across procurement, materials, and project files

What our client is looking for

  • Previous experience in a similar technical admin or project support role

  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office (especially Word and Excel)

  • Excellent organisational and document handling skills

  • Confident communicator with a team-focused attitude

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines

Desirable:

  • Exposure to the construction, electrical engineering, or facilities management sectors

  • Familiarity with RAMS, job costing, or compliance-related admin

  • Awareness of industry accreditations (CHAS, ISO, NICEIC)

  • Qualifications in business administration or health & safety awareness (e.g. IOSH)
