Working for a market leading design and manufacturing specialist, an exciting opportunity has arisen to be part of their dynamic commercial team that will help continue their growth and develop it's strong presence in current core markets together with developing sales for it's exciting range of new products into new markets.
The Business Development Manager will be working closely with the Sales & Project Managers and you will be responsible for developing new opportunities and markets within the UK, particularly with regard to the launch of new products. You will have a driven approach to developing sales with the aim of exceeding the company's sales and profit budgets together with the ability to communicate effectively at all levels both in the organisation and externally.
Some key responsibilities will include:
Working with Sales Director and Marketing to develop a strategy for taking new products to market
Implement and deliver a strategy including co-ordination of marketing campaigns, creation of target databases, initial contact and visits
Co-ordinate with the Technical Design and Operations departments to ensure full product understanding
Researching and prospecting for potential customers, their contractors and their consultants within market sectors from sources including Trade Journals, Tender Sites, Referrals, Leads, Databases
Take full responsibility for all new contracts and opportunities to ensure they are fully tracked and developed
Essential skills and experiences:
Engineering qualification / bias or background
Business development experience in a technical B2B environment
Experience of working within construction, M&E's, Major retail, transport or commercial organisations
