Our client, a market leading design and manufacturing specialist, has a brand new opportunity for a driven Business Development Manager to join their growing business.

Working closely with the Sales Director and the wider sales team, you will identify opportunities and develop sales strategies in new and existing markets.

Strong business development and sales management skills will see you develop new opportunities together with building on existing client relationships, cementing long term partnerships such that the business becomes the supplier of choice.

You will have a pragmatic approach to developing sales in the company’s core markets with the aim to exceed the company’s sales and profit budgets together with the ability to communicate effectively at all levels both within the organisation and externally.

Some key responsibilities will include:

  • Developing a strategy for taking new products to market and/or developing further opportunities for existing products.

  • Implementing and delivering the strategy including co-ordination of marketing campaigns, creation of target databases, initial contact etc.

  • Co-ordinating with the Technical, Design and Operations departments to ensure full product understanding, where relevant.

  • Working with the Technical Team to understand and reference relevant market and industry standards, where relevant.

  • Researching and prospecting for potential customers, their contractors and consultants within market sectors.

Essential skills and experiences:

  • Engineering qualification / bias or background (desirable)

  • Business development experience in a technical B2B environment

  • Experience of working within construction, M&E's, Major retail, transport or commercial organisations
