We are recruiting a Finance Officer for a small higher education organisation based in Salisbury. You’ll join a friendly professional services team where your work genuinely matters, supporting learning, events and a busy residential environment.

What you’ll be doing

Day to day, you’ll help keep the organisation’s finances running smoothly. You’ll be involved in tasks such as:

  • Processing payments and invoices

  • Helping track income and expenditure

  • Supporting payroll and pensions administration

  • Keeping financial records accurate and up to date

  • Assisting with reports and reconciliations

  • Working with colleagues across different teams to resolve queries

You won’t be expected to know everything on day one this role offers on-the-job learning and support, with scope to grow your confidence and skills over time.

Who this position would suit

  • Is early in their finance or accounts career

  • Is organised, reliable and detail-focused

You might already have some experience in accounts, finance administration or bookkeeping, or you may be studying towards (or already hold) an AAT qualification. Strong Excel skills and a willingness to learn are more important than ticking every box.
