Property Consultant: Residential Portfolio (Hybrid role)

Here’s a role with real depth, real responsibility, and the chance to genuinely make a difference, both to people and to the properties you’ll be managing.

We’re supporting a specialist property management team in Salisbury who are looking for a Property Consultant to take ownership of a substantial portfolio of residential homes. If you enjoy a mix of organisation, communication, problem-solving and people skills, this could be an ideal next move.

What the role looks like

You’ll remotely manage a portfolio of 100+ rented residential properties, acting as the central point of contact for everyone involved; tenants, agents, local authorities, contractors and legal representatives.

Your day-to-day will include:

  • Managing tenancies with care, clarity and professionalism

  • Coordinating planned and reactive maintenance

  • Handling rent collection and arrears, including issuing notices

  • Working with solicitors when legal action is required

  • Keeping case notes accurate and up to date

  • Preparing clear, concise reports for internal and client use

  • Building strong working relationships across the team

This is a supportive, busy environment where everyone pitches in and communication is key.

Who this would suit

This role works beautifully for people from:

  • Residential property management

  • Lettings

  • Housing or tenancy management

  • Financial services environments

  • Commercial roles with case management or regulated processes

You’ll thrive here if you bring:

  • Strong communication skills (written and verbal)

  • Confidence handling sensitive or occasionally challenging situations

  • Attention to detail and excellent organisational habits

  • A proactive, solutions-focused mindset

  • The ability to adapt quickly and manage a busy workload

  • A willingness to develop and work towards relevant qualifications

The team culture

The team is friendly, down-to-earth and genuinely supportive. It’s a fast-paced environment with plenty of variety, but there’s a really positive, collaborative atmosphere. You’ll fit right in if you like working with people, enjoy problem-solving, and take pride in getting things right.

Why this role matters

You’ll be helping to manage homes for people who may be going through difficult or uncertain situations. Compassion, clarity and professionalism are essential, and your work directly helps create stability, safety and a positive outcome for everyone involved.

If you’d like a role where you can really own your work, grow your skills and be part of a team that cares about the service it delivers, this could be the perfect fit.
