​Working for a market leading design and manufacturing specialist, an exciting opportunity has arisen for a Sales Manager to take full responsibility for all external and internal sales functions for the secure environment and non-secure sales sectors. Taking personal responsibility for sales into key existing markets such as supermarkets, responsibility for the management of the external sales executives, internal administrator and technical support team.

As an experienced Sales Manager, you will be responsible for the management of all sales in the core markets within the UK. Strong business development and sales management skills will see you develop new opportunities together with building on existing client relationships, cementing long term partnerships such that the business becomes the supplier of choice. You will have a driven approach to developing sales in the company’s core markets with the aim to exceed the company’s sales and profit budgets together with the ability to communicate effectively at all levels both within the organisation and externally

Some key responsibilities will include:

  • Manage and deliver agreed monthly/quarterly/annual sales budgets, including the management and production of the associated sales funnels reports, forecasts

  • Maximise the specification and sales of all relevant products, the care of existing customers and development of new sales and customers by offering sales and technical support

  • Deal directly with customers on sales technical, tender and specification related issues

  • Provide input and feedback to marketing department for new sales and marketing strategies

  • Line manage up to four members of your support team

  • Manage opportunities identified by your team for tracking, following up, forecasting and closure

  • Read and understand 'Invitation to tender' to produce comprehensive and correct proposals including the ability to read drawings, schedules, specifications

Essential skills and experiences:

  • Engineering qualification / bias or background

  • Sales management experience in a B2B environment

  • Experience of working within construction, M&E's, Major retail, transport or commercial organisations
