​We are currently looking to recruit a Senior Production Technician for a company based on the Porton Down Science Park. The facility produces licensed products which are then marketing for worldwide distribution. Due to significant investment and expansion we currently have a need to recruit a candidate who is keen to join a growing team who are responsible for the production, preparation and operation of the equipment. Day to day tasks would involve maintaining the facility, monitoring environmental conditions and performing aseptic processes.

This role will involve undertaking a varied range of tasks, from preparation and use of operational equipment such as large-scale fermenters and centrifuges, to preparation, completion, and review of quality documentation. Full training will be provided.

Main Duties and Responsibilities include but not limited to;

  • Undertake all work in accordance with Code of Safety Practice, Quality System and all other regulatory requirements

  • Work to cGMP ensuring the unit is maintained in a compliant state

  • Perform and record environmental monitoring in cGMP areas.

  • Follow all procedures and guidelines for all activities to ensure they meet the standards expected

  • Analyse information and make decisions based on assessment

  • Execute validation protocols on equipment

  • Perform a wide range of routine and some non routine technical procedures

We are looking for candidates who have either A-Levels and/or a Degree in a Biosciences or similar subject. We would also consider candidate who have hands on experience of working within in a manufacturing environment working closely with quality systems associated to Good Manufacturing Process (GMP). You also need to demonstrate strong communication skills, a team player attitude and good data entry, report writing skills.

This role is on a shift pattern of 4 days on, 4 days off. Hours are either 6am - 6pm or 6pm - 6am
